AFTA has around 150 full members (main offices, 350 main + branch offices). The members are registered in the Register of Package Tour Operators maintained by the National Consumer Administration and are thus entitled to operate as travel agents and/or tour operators.

Apart from full members, AFTA has 75 associate members. They are airlines, shipping companies, hotels, tourism schools, foreign tourist offices, consulting companies and other enterprises or organizations with a strong link to the travel agent branch. Associate members are not represented at the board of directors nor entitled to vote in the statutory meetings of AFTA.

AFTA is divided into three groups: retail agent group,  tour operator group and Finland Group - DMC & Incoming. Retail agent group consists of business travel agents, agents that sell products of tour operators and agents that arrange ship or coach tours. Tour operator group consists mainly of tour operators that arrange tours based on charter or regular flights. Finland Group includes incoming and domestic travel agents.
