Statistics. The Association regularly compiles statistics on the development of the travel agency sector. Regularly published statistics based on information gathered from members contain:
# leisure time package travel by air
# business trips
# total sales of member agents and tour operators
Research. The Association's service company, Smalser Oy, has studies made and reports compiled by external research institutes on special questions in the travel agency sector.
Training. AFTA organizes a wide training program, tailor-made if necessary. "Travel Info" -training which is organized during the MATKA Travel fair is one of the most important travel business training events. More than a thousand participants from all areas and levels of Finnish travel industry attend annually this three-day training.
