The Association of Finnish Travel Agents (AFTA) is formed by travel agents, tour operators and incoming agents. The objectives of the Association are:

- to further the development of the travel agent industry in Finland
- to promote the mutual interests of its members and protect their rights
- to work for the maintenance of good business practices
- to enforce good relations and co-operation between its members and other companies in the travel industry

AFTA co-operates with government officials, legislators, National Consumer Administration and different ministries. It keeps up close connections to suppliers of Finnish travel industry (Finnair, State Railways Ltd, regional tourism organizations etc.) In addition AFTA is a member or an active co-operator in several national and international organizations.

AFTA is the organizer of MATKA Travel fair - in terms of attendance the largest travel trade event in the Nordic countries and the Baltic Sea area. The association organizes the fair in collaboration with the Finnish Fair Corporation. On the MATKA fair website you can find general information and information for exhibitors. Welcome to MATKA!

During the MATKA Travel fair takes place AFTA's three-day "Travel Info", the biggest training program for travel professionals in the Nordic Countries. Every year some of the seminars are held in english. Come and get wiser!
